Shrine Entertainment is a fictious nerd culture magazine. I designed the cover and two feature spreads on an interview that was done with a group that professioally dresses up as characters in Korea. In order to not detract from any of the costumer’s work or the photographer’s work, I used Avenir in black, medium, and light weights to also provide a certain hierarchy for the cover. The saturated blue was chosen as a direct lead in but also to help provide some contrast. Garamond was used for the text type due to its easy to read characters typically used in publication.
